I live in the flatlands - the Cambridgeshire Fens of East Anglia, where sky meets watery land.

 It has not always been so. 

I was born and grew up in a much more hilly landscape, around Bristol, Bath and Hereford, but I have lived in the Fens for more years than I care to remember.

It is my adopted homeland now.

I am a daughter, sister, wife, mother, retired teacher and grandmother.

I love cooking, gardening, photography, reading.

This blog is a little diary of things that matter to me.
