Christmas countdown - week 3
One week to go and Santa has been spotted.
He made an appearance along our road the other evening.
I think Rudolph and the other reindeer must have had a day off, as Santa was travelling in a festive wooden shed on wheels.
And some more festive decorations in the form of these 'yarn bombed' posts in a local town.
Back home, I've decided to go rustic with some ivy in the dining room
and a rustic look also for the Christmas cake; marzipan stars and a jumble of dried fruit and nuts.
Hoping your countdown to Christmas is going well.
Happy weekend.

The yarn bombing was amazing, very Christmassy! I love the look of the Christmas cake, it would actually suit me so much as I am not a great lover of icing. Wishing you and yours a wonderful Christmas.
ReplyDeleteThank you .. and you too.
DeleteLove the ivy and the Christmas cake, the marzipan stars and cherries look absolutely delish, I shall remember that for mine I think. Fabulous yarn bombing, someone's been working hard. Wishing you a good weekend. CJ xx
ReplyDeleteOh dear. Feeling guilty at being such a laggard. Cake? What cake? Yours looks splendid.
ReplyDeleteLove that cake! Still the vegan version to bake and both cakes to decorate yet along with a million other tasks. I noticed the other day someone had been busy festive yarn bombing at our local railway station.
ReplyDeleteYour cake looks fabulous and the yarn bombing is great... Very jolly!
ReplyDeleteMmmm - looks scrumptious! No doubt it will taste as good as it looks.
ReplyDeleteHope so! New oven meant the timing seemed all out.
